"Sweet Baby" is the lead single from Macy Gray's second studio album The Id, released in 2001. The single is a collaboration with Erykah Badu, who was a featured vocalist, and John Frusciante from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who played the guitar.

In the UK, "Sweet Baby" became Gray's third highest-charting single behind "Still" and "I Try", peaking at number twenty-three on the UK Singles Chart. The single was also a hit in Canada peaking at number sixteen on the Canadian Singles Chart. "Sweet Baby" also peaked at number twenty-four on the Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks chart in the United States and number thirty-nine in Australia.

"Sweet Baby" was released on one CD format and a 12" vinyl format in the UK. The CD single contained a previously unreleased track named "Better Where You Are".
